سجلت شرطة محافظة المهره وقوع حادثة سير في ساحل مديرية الغيظة هو الأول من نوعه أسفر عن وفاة صياد في آلـ25 من عمره إسمه أحمد علوان محمد حسن. حيث ذكرت الشرطة في المحافظة إن قاربي صيد أصطدما ببعضهما في عرض البحر قباله ساحل المهره ما أدى إلى وفاة أحد سائقي القاربين ، فيما لم يصب سائق القارب الثاني وهو شاب صومالي في آلـ20 من عمره بأي أذى. مرجعة أسباب الحادث وفقا لماذكرة موقع وزارة الداخلية إلى السرعة الزائدة للقاربين هذا وقد قامت الشرطة بنقل جثة المتوفي إلى المستشفى ، فيما تحفظت على القارب الأخر مع سائقه الصومالي للإجراءات القانونية.
