Sana'a, NewsYemen, exclusive:

Late last week, the Houthi militia in Sana'a closed the National Dairy and Food Company (NadFood), which is affiliated with Hayel Saeed Anam Group and Partners, in the context of organized targeting campaigns to combat, suppress and abuse production companies and institutions of the national economy.

In what is considered an arbitrary and illegal measure, influential members of the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - demand a reduction in the prices of the company's products below the cost price, while continuing to impose double customs and tax duties and recurring royalties on all the company's products and other national economy companies.

Workers in the private sector considered the deliberate targeting of national companies by the Houthi militia as acts of gangs and flagrant violations of all local and international laws, regulations, treaties and agreements regulating economic and commercial work.

Noting that the Houthi militia's attempt to destroy (a national economic lever) will have negative and catastrophic effects on national economic stability and the interest of the citizen.

Economic sources in Sana'a revealed to (Newsyemen) repeated Houthi attempts to storm the headquarters of a number of companies of Hayel Saeed Anam Group in Sana'a, with the aim of seizing servers for databases.

It also referred to other arbitrary demands to pay billions of riyals under allegations of tax differences on the group since 1980, claiming that the lands of the group's factories are located on lands belonging to the endowments.

Workers in the private sector see the abuses of the Houthi militia against these companies as a threat to blow up the remnants of national ties, and deliberately narrow the remnants of an economic and geographical bloc that is difficult to domesticate and control.

They consider these practices a systematic aggression that carries with it malicious motives, regional, sectarian and sectarian tendencies, and deliberate disruption of all work and production sites, which would increase the unemployment rate and widen the circle of starvation and impoverishment of the population.
