Marib, NewsYemen, Private:

The areas under the control of the terrorist Houthi militia are witnessing a noticeable increase in popular rejection as a result of the crisis policy that the militias have fabricated since their coup, with the emergence of prominent political leaders who openly call for expression and protest and breaking the barrier of fear.

For weeks, Houthi-controlled areas have been experiencing stifling crises in oil derivatives and household gas, which led to a rise in their prices on the black market to record levels, as the price of a 20-liter can of gasoline reached 50,000 riyals (about $80) and a gas cylinder to 20,000 riyals (33)dollars).

The role of the Houthi militia in creating these crises became clear after it was revealed that it had detained hundreds of locomotives carrying oil derivatives in Al-Jawf and refused to allow them to enter the militias' controlled areas.  It was also revealed that the militias unloaded a shipment of gas at the port of Hodeidah on March 2, with 9,488 tons of gas on board.

These facts generated a state of popular anger manifested in the spread of slogans on the walls calling for the departure of the Houthi militia in the streets of Sanaa and later moved to Ibb and Al-Bayda.  This provoked the militias' madness and prompted them to mobilize, and launched campaigns to arrest a number of citizens.

Informed sources revealed in an interview with "NewsYemen" that the Houthi group's fabrication of these crises comes in the context of a general plan drawn by its leadership under Iranian directives for the military escalation during the next stage.

The sources pointed out that the group mobilized under the name "Yemen Hurricane" to attract thousands of fighters to the ranks of its militia, which suffers from heavy losses in the human element, which has made it unable to escalate the military situation on its fronts.

The miserable strikes against Saudi Arabia come in the same mobilization context.

Explained that the group's main military objective is to revitalize the Marib Front, and to re-attempt to control the city and the oil and gas fields in Safer, after it had almost been achieved without the military operation launched by the Southern Giants Forces with direct support from the coalition and succeeded in liberating the three districts of Baihan in Shabwa and Harib district in Marib  .

The sources said that this operation, which bore the name "Hurricane of the South", reshuffled the group's cards and dashed its dream of controlling Marib, and inflicted heavy human losses on the group's leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, and added to its previous losses in the battle of Marib during the past year, which exceeded 30,000 dead.  According to observers' estimates.

These heavy losses made it difficult for the Houthi group to continue its battle towards Marib, and it needed to reinforce its militias with crowds of new fighters to try again, according to the sources.

The sources pointed to the speeches made by the group's leader and head of state, Mahdi al-Mashat, and its prime minister, Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, during the past few days about the crises experienced by its areas of control in the matter of gas and oil derivatives, and stressing that their solution is to go to the fronts and restore "the people's oil and gas wealth."  In a clear reference to Marib.
