Al-Houthi is a terrorist group, by decision of Arab interior ministers
English - Saturday 12 March 2022 الساعة 04:23 pmThe Houthi group has become included in the Arab terrorism list, after its inclusion by the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers yesterday, when the Houthi group was classified as a "terrorist group".
Thus, the group was included in the list of terrorist entities on the Arab black list of perpetrators, masterminds and financiers of terrorist acts.
According to Arab media, the Ansar Allah Al-Houthi group has been classified as a terrorist entity, and included on the Arab blacklist, as a result of the violations committed by the Houthis against the Yemeni population, including killing, displacement, imprisonment and torture, since its coup and its control of Sanaa, on September 21, 2014, as well as grave violations against neighboring countries and the international community, and threatening waterways, including the repeated terrorist attacks carried out by militias across the border, targeting civilians and infrastructure in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the sisterly United Arab Emirates.
The inclusion of the Houthi terrorist group in the Arab blacklist of perpetrators, masterminds and financiers of terrorist acts by the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers came as a result of the efforts of the Arab police and security services, which realized the danger of these militias, and the consequences of the spread of their poisonous actions and ideas, a few days after the issuance of Security Council Resolution 2624 as a terrorist group, as well as the demand of the Arab Parliament Union to list the Houthis as a terrorist group.
This also comes after the conclusion of the 39th session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunisia on March 2, in which the Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, delivered Yemen’s speech at this session, in which he called for supporting Yemen’s position by including these militias in the list of terrorism due to their actions that exceeded Its borders did not observe laws or customs, and the Yemeni people were subjected to various forms of torment.
In his speech at the opening of the 39th session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, he affirmed that the Yemenis are counting a lot on the continuation of the efforts of the Arab coalition and the Arab brothers to deter those terrorist militias and restore legitimacy in Yemen, in a way that helps establish a solid Arab security base that confronts all challenges and protects the security of the Arab nation, especially since the only target of these militias and behind them is Iran, not only in Yemen, but also in the regional and civilian environment by targeting civilian objects inside and outside Yemen.
The Arab black list of perpetrators, masterminds, and financiers of terrorist acts issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers included Ansar Allah al-Houthi, ISIS, al-Qaeda, al-Qaeda in Iraq, al-Qaeda in Yemen, and al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
In addition to Al-Nusra Front, Boko Haram, Al-Mukhtar Brigades, Popular Resistance Brigades, Al-Ashtar Brigades and Hezbollah inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Interior appreciated the efforts of the international and regional community to include these militias in the list of terrorism, which would be reflected in the world’s dealings with them on this basis, and perhaps this would alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people in the governorates under the control of these militias, who aspire to freedom and salvation from the incursions of these militias and the confiscation of rights and liberties.
