Ibb..University professor: The Houthis have turned the teacher into a beggar by the hour system
English - Sunday 30 January 2022 الساعة 03:47 pmThe entire educational process in the north of the country is going through a difficult stage at all levels, as the interruption of employee salaries in this sector constituted a crime by all standards that should not be tolerated.
Ibb Governorate and its university are one of those who have suffered severe and total damages during the past five years, as a result of the suspension of faculty salaries and many operational expenses that have led to paralysis within the faculties, their administration and the public library.
In a statement to "Newsmen", an academic, who preferred not to be named so as not to be questioned and embarrassed, he reported that Iran's arm had turned the public and university teacher in particular into a "hourly beggar."
He said, The professor had to come down to the desire of daily life and living, which prompted him to respond to doing many things that would make you lose your value and your scientific and practical standing.
Pointing out what drives a university doctor or even a teacher at the basic level who has interests and obligations outside the framework of his official work to pursue his livelihood through private lessons and lectures without restrictions throughout the day.
He added, imagine that you receive half of your salary every six or five months at a rate that does not even reach 7% of your official dues. On top of that, this half of your salary comes in an unprecedented economic situation; No water, no electricity, no gas, no security, no nutrition, no hygiene. Even values have been corrupted. All that the authority does is collecting royalties, and the result is daily events and violence practiced by the existing authority and the citizens among themselves.
In the same context, about the situation at Dhamar University, we asked one of the academics, who is an assistant professor in the Department of Administration and Accounting, about the teacher’s situation there, and he answered.. that the situation never differs, pointing out that the suffering is the same as long as we live with one input, so the outputs cannot be achieved. To change, the issue is purely mathematical and the results can only be a reflection of who we are.
He emphasized that until 2016 and 2017, his personal income, in addition to the teaching salary, before he began to interrupt, was a good income, amounting to one million per month, through consultations and others. All this ended with the end of the official salary.
He explained that all of that stopped, prices rose and the currency gradually deteriorated, and you have to imagine the situation and you have a family of five or six people at least, where would you go with them.
He concluded his speech by saying, "We have missed many things other than the salary, we have missed the future of our children and the future of the educational process. What the country is going through is difficult to restore easily, because its consequences are catastrophic."
