Sanaa, NewsYemen, Muhammad Abdulrahman:

During these years Sana'a witnessed a great boom in the hashish and drug trade.

For the first time, hashish was popular in this form and quantity, and it is known that the largest hashish and drug traffickers are Houthi leaders "from Saada" and the anti-drug registry "during the state era" proves the names of smugglers and hashish dealers from Saada people, and they work for Al-Houthi.

“Abboud,” which is the name that he wanted us to use in this report, to protect himself and not reveal his true identity, for fear of his assassination.

Abboud works as a hashish merchant in Sanaa after three years during which he disappeared in Saada, when he went to work there as a “freelance business”, then he returned to Sanaa as a hashish trader for parties in the Houthi movement.

"Abboud" says that while he was in Saada in the beginning, the situation was difficult for him to find a daily wage job, or to work as a "qat seller", because "qat" needed capital, but someone from Saada helped him and lent him an amount of money to "sell qat", and Abboud did not realize that the beginning was from that moment when he accepted the loan.

After one year, and after the deepening of the relationship between Abboud and the person who helped him, who was called (A.N.H), Abboud became addicted to hashish and used it voraciously, to the point that he did not continue his work as a "qat seller" and became once again penniless and it became easy to get him to work as a hashish distributor for A.N.H.

Abboud talks about his experience in distributing, on the scale of the city of Saada, the dangers he was facing, and the fear that he had in the beginning during the distribution, as well as during the use of hashish, but after a while the fear dissipated when he knew that he was protected by (A.N.H), a leader in the Houthi group, he owns a network of distributors and smugglers, this network extends to Sana'a, Dhamar and Hodeidah.

He is not the only one who owns a distribution and smuggling network, Abboud says.

There are other leaders in the Houthi group who own networks of hashish distribution and smuggling throughout the provinces and to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf as well.

Abboud has now moved his field of work and distribution to Sana'a, and his financial condition has improved somewhat, but his addiction to hashish has severely damaged his health.

His work in Sana'a, he says, is better than Saada, here, there are more profits and more distribution, as the percentage of young people who use hashish doubles every day.

The money that is supplied, as Abboud says to the brother (A.N. H), per week reaches millions, proportional to the amount of hashish that is distributed, the variety and the quality. This makes you gain a lot more from the "qat" trade, as Abboud speaks, who refused to mention more of these details.

Abboud is not the only victim of Al-Houthi and the hashish trade, there are dozens that the leaders of the Houthi group use to work as smugglers and distributors, but it is not easy to be one of these distributors or smugglers, the Houthi leaders strive to choose and train, because the work needs efficiency, addiction and complete confidentiality.

Sanaa today is a hotbed of addiction and the hashish trade, society loses its children, and the Houthi earns hundreds of millions ... People lose themselves, and the Houthi earns money, power and the dissolution of society, so that it is easy for them to hunt and control it .. How long will the Houthi win and the community lose ?!
