Intelligence reports revealed a terrorist plot prepared by al-Qaeda to return to attacking security in the directorates of Wadi and Hadramawt desert, through intensive operations.
The report monitored information on the intention of al-Qaeda operatives to drag the Hadramaut regions into a cycle of violence, conflict and chaos.
The Hadramout security authorities obtained the information and secret plans of the terrorist elements after penetrating them through two informers.
The security reports revealed by Governor of Hadramaut, Major General Faraj Al-Bahsini, on Monday, during a security meeting held in the city of Sayyun, described the terrorist movements as dangerous, stressing not to allow those elements to remain in the valley and desert cities.
"We will hold the responsibility to every official and each official will bear the result of his failure to perform his duty, and we cannot accept the continuation of this dangerous situation," Governor Al-Bahsni, commander of the Second Military Region, said during the meeting that included the security and army leaders in Hadramout.
He added: "We have accurate intelligence information about the hectic activity of terrorist organizations. We will take pre-emptive actions that will reduce criminal acts, referring to a new security plan to end the manifestations of security and stability and raise the capabilities of the valley in terms of security."
The governor of Al-Bahsini pointed out that the local authority in the governorate will provide all necessary capabilities for the security and police services in the valley and desert directorates urgently to help advance security and police institutions in order to reduce the state of insecurity, calling on citizens to interact with the efforts of the security services and cooperate with them, assuring citizens that the local authority in the governorate and with it All the security services are constantly seeking to address the security imbalances through court plans that will soon touch the positive effects of the citizen.
