Houthi militias send additional military reinforcements to the border of Abyan

Houthi militias continued their military escalation in Aqaba Thurah, located between the governorates of Al-Bayda and Abyan, by bombing advanced locations of the southern forces and an attempt to advance their armed forces at the borders of the Lauder district.

The Houthi militia sent more armed reinforcements to the Mukairas district and Aqaba Thurah on Monday, while the continued shelling of advanced positions of the southern forces in the northeast of Abyan governorate.

And local sources spoke of the arrival of more than 15 Houthi crews in the obstacle of a coming revolution from the direction of Al-Bayda city.

The sources added that sporadic clashes since the early morning between the southern forces and the Houthis, in a revolt punctuated by mutual artillery shelling, between the two parties stationed on the two sides of Aqaba, while the region witnessed a heavy flight by the Arab coalition warplanes.

According to the sources, Houthi fighters were able to reach the foot of Aqaba fortress after they infiltrated on foot in the form of small groups, indicating that the militias are striving to penetrate points of contact and to drop advanced positions in the front.

Since the beginning of this week, the Houthi militia has escalated militarily between the Al-Bayda and Abyan governorates, and has intensified the bombing of southern forces' sites with heavy weapons, after the arrival of major reinforcements, including tanks, launchers and artillery.
