On Saturday, Houthi militias shelled residential neighborhoods and joint forces positions in Hesse.

Mortar shells and artillery landed in various locations in the Al-Sunni neighborhood in the centre of the city and in the village of Beit Bish, north-west of the city.

The militias opened fire with machine guns from their places of control, some of which were destroyed on residential neighbourhoods and on the main street in the Quarter al-Mahal neighbourhood.

Women's voices came from the houses as a result of bullets that hit their homes and caused panic and fear among citizens, especially women and children.

Houthi militias shelled the positions of the joint forces with various missiles and machine guns.

Col. Ayman Marsh, commander of the 5th Battalion of the 7th Brigade, told New Zealand that Houthi militias shelled the brigade's positions with mortars, P10 rocket-propelled grenades and RPG shells.

He said the militias opened fire with machine guns using the Beka and Doshka weapons as a cover-up to bomb positions of heroes stationed in the confrontation lines on the Hess front, taking advantage of the UN silence on their crimes and violations of the UN truce.

Houthi militias have continued to violate the UN truce by bombing residential neighborhoods since the 2018 Swedish agreement.
