Prime Minister Moueen Abdulmalik warned on Wednesday against any attempt to foil the Riyadh agreement signed between the government of interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the Transitional Council, saying that "an attempt to guide the country towards the path of demolition again."

The prime minister's comments coincided with a double escalation by the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Houthi militia on the outskirts of Abyan province in the south of the country.

Abdulmalik stressed the need for concerted efforts in the success of the Riyadh agreement and directing efforts towards the existential battle for Yemen and its people to restore the state and abort the Iranian project in Yemen and the region, according to the official Yemeni News Agency.

He added that "the Riyadh agreement to contain the repercussions that occurred in Aden and some liberated provinces, under the auspices of Saudi Arabia, and to unite efforts in the face of the Iranian project in Yemen through the Houthi terrorist militias."

The Prime Minister stressed that aborting the Iranian project is not only a Yemeni interest, but also affects the security and stability of neighboring countries, the region and the world, and securing international navigation in one of the most important trade corridors in the world.
