Who is the al-Qaeda leader who went out to support the Brotherhood?
English - Tuesday 30 August 2022 الساعة 04:35 pm"Akhbar Alan" TV revealed information about the leader of al-Qaeda in Yemen, nicknamed "Abu Ali al-Hadrami", and the organization broadcast a speech to him in a new version under the title "To our people in Yemen... a word regarding the recent events in Shabwa."
The channel said that the terrorist leader is "Abu Ali Al-Disi", who is the organization's advocacy official and one of the leaders close to the organization's leader, Khaled Batarfi.
It explained that Al-Disi, nicknamed "Abu Ali Al-Hadrami", is one of the escapees from Mukalla Central Prison in southeast Yemen in June 2011.
Al-Disi holds the position of Da’wa official in the organization, after he was one of the ruling leaders in Hadramawt and Al-Bayda.
And yesterday, the "Al Malahim Foundation" broadcast a new version of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, based in Yemen, in which it called for supporting the Islah party - the Yemeni branch of the Muslim Brotherhood - against the Arab coalition and the Presidential Leadership Council, against the background of the expulsion of the Brotherhood militias from Shabwa governorate, south east of the country.
The release included a speech by "Abu Ali Al-Disi", in which he attacked the Arab coalition, especially the UAE, because of its involvement in the fight against terrorism and its war on al-Qaeda, and its support for the security belt forces and military elites that play a prominent role in fighting the organization and the Houthi group.
The leader of al-Qaeda considered that the dismissal of the former governor of Shabwa, Muhammad Saleh bin Adyo, who is loyal to the Brotherhood, and the appointment of the governor, Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki in his place, is part of a broader scheme aimed at empowering the Arab coalition and the forces supported by it inside the Yemeni regions, according to his claim.
He called the Islah Party to abandon its participation in the framework of Yemeni legitimate institutions, saying that the Brotherhood's interest in allying with al-Qaeda and leaving the legitimate Yemeni government and institutions to show a power vacuum.
The al-Qaeda leader considered that the solution in Shabwa will not be with the resignation of the governor supported by the Presidential Council and the Arab alliance, Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki, but by "implementing a new coup and launching terrorist attacks against the governor and the forces of the Transitional Council, and trying to control Shabwa by force."
