An attempt to assassinate the governor of Shabwa with an explosive device on the Nisab-Ataq road was thwarted

Shabwa Governor's media office revealed that the security services thwarted today an assassination attempt with an explosive device targeting the governor, Awad Al-Awlaki.
The office said, in a statement issued by it, that the security services in the Nisab Directorate, led by Major Nasser Ambushal, immediately began receiving a report from the citizens of the presence of a timed explosive device on the main road (Ataq - Nisab - Bayhan), where they were able to dismantle the explosive device, extract the detonator and disconnect its electronics circuit that was attached to a mobile phone and set in the shape of a stone were molded with gypsum and filled with iron projectiles.
According to the statement, the situation of the high-explosive device coincided with a visit by Governor Bin Al-Wazir to the city of Nisab, during which he inspected Nisab Hospital and some service facilities and met with a number of citizens and relevant authorities.
