The Yemeni Brotherhood tops the list of real estate owners in Turkey

 A recent Turkish statistic reported that Yemeni personalities bought about 902 properties in Turkey during the first half of 2022, while sources confirmed that most of these personalities belong to the Islah Party - the Yemeni branch of the Muslim Brotherhood - where Turkey is the preferred destination for the leaders and elements of the organization since the start of the current war.  

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, Yemen came after Iraq in the number of properties purchased by Arab nationalities, advancing to the second rank, after it was third in the year 2021 AD, where statistics indicated that the total properties purchased by Yemenis in Turkey during the past year amounted to 1,332 properties.

The institute stated that the number of Yemenis owning real estate in Turkey has increased significantly over the past years, as the Yemeni nationals ranked tenth among the list of the most foreign nationalities who own real estate in Turkey.

According to statistics, the properties that Yemenis bought during the past seven years amounted to about five thousand real estate units, including apartments and villas, distributed in Istanbul, Antalya, Bursa and Ankara.

While the number of Yemeni companies in Turkey reached about 519, most of which were established after the outbreak of war in the country and the emigration of national capital.

According to the official data of the Turkish Immigration Department at the Yemeni Embassy in Ankara, the number of Yemenis in Turkey, by the end of June 2022, reached 30,000 Yemenis in several Turkish cities.
