On Tuesday, the people of Taiz governorate went out in a large and peaceful mass rally, denouncing the crimes of the Houthi militia and the international complicity in ignoring its massacres in the killing of children and the bombing of civilians.
The detractors demanded breaking the siege imposed on the city and completing its liberation from Iran's arm.
They stressed that the UN armistice turned into a cover for the militia's violations, targeting residential neighborhoods and killing children, women and civilians.
The demonstration called for the mobilization of ranks and efforts to defeat the terrorist Houthi militia, whose crimes are supported by Iran and the international community, and they wrote in slogans that were raised.
And other phrases, including (we are all resistance), (to the UN envoy, is the killing of children and the bombing of civilians a peace map?)
They called for an end to the deadly truce, which represented an opportunity for the militias to practice killing and destruction under cover by the international community, which seems to be absent from reality and international responsibility.
The demonstration also called on the UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, to assume his duties responsibly in following up the implementation of Security Council resolutions related to Yemen, foremost of which is Resolution 2216, and completing the implementation of the terms of the armistice agreement, including the ceasefire and stopping the military build-up of the terrorist Houthi militia, and opening all main well-known roads in the city of Taiz and other governorates, which the militia cuts off in flagrant violation of civil and human rights, and pays the salaries of employees who are in the Houthi militia’s control areas, from tax and customs revenues and land, air and sea ports, especially the port of Hodeidah, which was opened under the declaration of the armistice
