Shabwa Governorate, Awad, son of Minister Al-Awlaki, revealed that the commander of the Special Forces, Brigadier General Abed Rabbo Lakab Al-Sharif, had fabricated the recent events in the governorate, threatening comprehensive changes in the coming days.
The minister’s son, and in a video speech to him during an expanded meeting of the Executive Office, about parties outside the governorate standing behind stirring up the situation in the governorate, and saying that they “did not like the improvement in the security situation,” implicitly accusing the Brotherhood and the Special Forces leadership of being behind it.
Where the governor indicated his refusal to implement his decisions that he issued appointing staff and operations for special forces by the Minister of Interior, stressing that he was not unable to implement them, but rather a desire to preserve the state and its prestige.
The governor praised the Shabwa Defense Forces, explaining that he brought them in after 7 months of leaving the security file in the hands of the Special Forces, and said that the points they had set "revealed many things to him and seized a weapon that was not seized before."
Regarding the recent events, the governor accused the commander of the Special Forces of causing them. He referred to the attack on the electricity point of the Shabwa Defense Forces and the injury of two of its members, and said that he thought it was an "accidental problem" and an investigation committee was formed for it.
