The Brotherhood moved the terrorist card, targeting the Balhaf facility, as a first reaction to the decision of Shabwa Governor Awad Ibn al-Wazir to arrest the commander of the special security forces in the governorate, Abd Rabbo Laakab.
The governor, Ibn al-Wazir, had arrested the commander of the Special Security Forces, Abed Rabbo Lakab, and the commander of the Second Brigade Defense of Shabwa, Colonel Wajdi Baoum al-Khulaifi, against the backdrop of the unfortunate events that took place in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, a few days ago.
Colonel Wajdi Baoum Al-Khulaifi, commander of the 2nd Brigade Defense of Shabwa, confirmed his commitment to the directives of the governor of Shabwa, and the head of the security committee, Awad Ibn Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki.
Political analyst Saeed Bakran warned the southern forces in Shabwa of terrorist operations, following the decision to arrest the leader of the Brotherhood's Special Forces, Abd Rabbo Lakab.
Bakran said, in a tweet, that the Brotherhood’s terrorist organization’s reaction to stopping La’ak Al-Sharif will be by inciting terrorism, and the southern forces must be careful.
Following the issuance of the decision to stop Laakab, multiple sources said that a mortar shell landed near Balhaf Airport, which the Arab coalition forces have taken as their headquarters since their military intervention in Yemen seven years ago.
Journalist Abdulhamid Al-Awlaki said that the ink of the recent decisions of the governor, the son of the minister, had not yet dried, until the Brotherhood launched their attacks in a clear message that they would not accept it.
He added that there are reports that the commander of the Special Forces rejected the decisions issued by the governor, explaining that Lakab is considered a rebel against the decision of the head of the security committee in the province.
He explained that the decisions of the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, did not like the Brotherhood's militias, and they began launching their sabotage operations through their militia arms to destabilize the governorate.
He stressed that the governor, Ibn al-Wazir, has many tools to prove what he has taken, and the Brotherhood is delusional if they think they can confuse the scene in the province or rebel against the governor's decisions.
The researcher in the affairs of terrorist groups, Muhammad bin Faisal, asked: Will Shabwa witness a movement of terrorist organizations in the coming days, after the fall of those who believed in them?
He said, in a tweet to him on Twitter, that the Muslim Brotherhood has a strategy that is manifested in what is known as a secret private military organization, explaining that this strategy is summarized in resorting to violence and terrorism when the interests of the group are hit, and the group may resort in some countries to allying with terrorist organizations.
