The southern academic, Saleh Ali Al-Dawil, considered the armed clashes and insecurity in Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, a dangerous sign, and an attempt to drag the people of the southern governorate to fight and feud among themselves.

Ataq, the capital of Shabwa governorate, witnessed clashes between the special forces loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood and the Shabwa Defense Forces, which left wounded and killed on both sides.

Al-Dawil said, in an article he published on social media, that the Special Forces, the arm of the Brotherhood in Shabwa, since the change of the Brotherhood, Muhammad Saleh bin Udayo, and the appointment of Ibn al-Wazir, has been seeking by all means to blow up the situation militarily, to drag the sons of Shabwa into the fighting, not out of concern for the security of the province, but rather from for the party’s dominance and the return of the financial allocations that were disbursed to them from tax revenues, gas and oil locomotives, and collection points.

Al-Dawil accused the Special Forces of being the cause of the security imbalance, weakness and shortcomings in the province, and of not complying with the instructions of the security committee in the province, by rejecting and rebelling against the recent decisions of the Security Director, Brigadier Awad al-Dahboul.

He pointed out that the Special Forces underwent during the last period, and still are, a process of ideological and political mobilization against the Shabwa elite, and then against the Shabwa Defense Forces, against the Transitional Council and against the South Project.

Al-Dawil explained that the recent clashes between the Special Forces and Shabwa Defense are a dangerous indicator, and the media coverage of them was more dangerous, and required serious standing and submission to all partisan and regional vocabulary.

The southern academic, Hussein Al-Diani, accused the Special Forces of clearly rebelling against the Security Committee, calling on the higher authorities to confront the problem with blood-staining decisions and to hold the rebels accountable wherever they are found with courage.

For his part, the southern political analyst, Fahd Al-Khulaifi, the commander of the Shabwa Defense Force, Brigadier-General Wajdi Baoum Al-Khulaifi, warned of a conspiracy and a big scheme with the aim of getting rid of him.

Al-Khulaifi said that the conspiracy against the commander of the Shabwa Defense Forces is great, and the clear and obvious goal is to hit him with A’kab Al-Sharif to get rid of them both, and there is a plan to target Al-Khulaifi from the terrorist Brotherhood militias that target only the Shabwa Defense Forces.

He added that what happened previously to the Shabwa elite, and later to the Shabwa Defense Forces at its points, of terrorist operations, is the best evidence that there is a conspiracy being hatched against Brigadier General Wajdi Baoum, and against the Shabwa Defense Forces because of its southern project and the goal is to remove it from Ataq in service of the projects of Qatar and Turkey.

Al-Khulaifi advised Commander Wajdi Baoum to keep the Shabwa Defense Forces in their camps in the city of Ataq, in order to prevent bloodshed and not clash with the Brotherhood forces, and to overcome sedition, and not to be drawn behind the instigators and leave security matters at the present time to the Brotherhood’s partisan militias, and the Shabwa “tribal” security forces and the direction to secure  The rest of the districts of Shabwa
