The specter of Houthi terrorism haunts the coastal residents of Al-Hima
English - Tuesday 19 July 2022 الساعة 09:38 amAl-Hima area, located south of Al-Tuhayta District, has suffered a lot from poverty and hunger, and this suffering has been increased by the Houthi militia's escalation of its terrorist attacks.
The residents of the Al-Hima area, numbering about five thousand, are being attacked by drones and artillery fire, as well as mortar shells.
The Houthi militia seeks to push the residents of that liberated area to leave their homes, by launching missiles and repeated attacks, including during the days of Eid.
These violations amounted to dozens of terrorist attacks, with the aim of frightening the residents and forcing them to leave the area, but the residents of that coastal area refuse to leave their homes.
Citizen Muhammad Abdo asserts that leaving their homes means death for them, noting that the attempt to get them out of their homes was not the first, but the Houthi militia had previously tried to implement it during the battles to liberate the West Coast regions in 2018.
At the time, he added, the Houthi militia brought in five mass transit buses from the city of Hodeidah, but the residents of al-Hima refused to leave and stuck to their land until the resistance entered them.
He explained that the Houthi militias tried during the last period, in various ways, to terrorize the population, but they refused to submit to Houthi terrorism, and resisted all forms of targeting in order to force them to leave their homes.
The area of Al-Hima, located to the south of the Directorate of Al-Tuhayta, is considered a tourist and heritage area, thousands of years old, and Al-Hima port was one of the most famous ports several centuries ago.
