The public security and police forces in the Hadhramaut valley and desert, backed by a force of the Hadrami elite of the Second Military District in the Hadhramaut coast, arrested, at dawn yesterday, two leaders of Al-Qaeda.

According to a prominent security official for NewsYemen, a Hadrami elite force escorted by Arab coalition vehicles and Public Security teams arrested the leaders, "Idris Al-Marfadi" and "Saleh Fayeh" in Al-Qatan Directorate in a joint campaign after tracking them and collecting information from the investigation men until their arrest.

The raid proceeded - according to the security official - in complete secrecy and transferred to the coast of Hadhramaut to investigate them and find out the hidden elements that seek to disturb the public tranquility in the Hadhramaut Valley and carry out killings, kidnappings and assassinations of civilians, military personnel and government figures.

It is noteworthy that the two leaders who were arrested, one of them works as a security official in the organization and the other is the commander of the artillery battalion in the organization for the Arabian Peninsula.

Wadi Hadhramaut has recently recorded security achievements, despite the existing imbalances, by arresting fugitives and al-Qaeda members and those responsible and involved in the assassinations, in addition to implementing a security belt in various districts with the support of the Arab coalition forces present in the region.
