Apparently, the terrorist Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, succeeded in returning the north of the country to the days of ignorance and its sectarian battles under tribal and regional names that have nothing to do with the state and citizenship project.

While the Houthi militias seek to perpetuate the myth of the family of the house and the right of Bani Hashim to power and Imam Ali bin Abi Talib in the state, a new sectarian current has emerged that called itself “Al-Aqyal.” Its members said that their mission is to fight the myths of the Houthis, establish citizenship and revive Yemeni and Arab nationalism away from any guardianship.

Aqial is an ancient Yemeni term that refers to the sons and grandsons of kings from the historical Yemeni kingdoms mentioned in the Qur’an, such as the Kingdom of Sheba and the Tba’ people with greater powers.

The movement’s theorists say that the “Aqyal” rose up to arouse the history and glories of their country, so that the blood of civilization flows again in their blood and bring the Yemeni man out of his heedlessness. A previous regime, and their hands were not tainted by the evils of overthrowing the state or transforming it into a weak or failed state.

But this current, which is only present on the pages of social networking sites, has not expanded until it has turned into a racist current to confront the racism of the Houthi militia, according to journalist Abdul Rahman Anis, in a brief post on his Facebook account.

This movement, which began as moderate before turning into a racist movement, as seen by "Anis", rejects any criticism of it or attempts to correct its behavior and not be drawn into the militias' calls to recall the past and provoke the fanaticism of ignorance that Islam is supposed to have rejected.

But the movement, which was supported by a wide section of the people, fell into the trap of the Houthi militias and was drawn into the Quraysh Meccan battles that had nothing to do with citizenship or the terms it was calling for.

"It appears that the northerners rode the wheel of time and went back more than a thousand to two thousand years," researcher and politician Hussein Hanshi said in a post on his Twitter account.

He added, "There are now the battles of Al-Aqyal and Al-Ablah, the Musnad Line, the Battle of the Horse, Siffin, the Saqifa of Banu Masada, and with them Ibn Dhi Yazan Jadid in Saada, he sought help from the Persians, and they sat in his country and in Aswad Ansi, also in the market soon."

Politician and journalist Nabil al-Sufi agreed with him, who said, "Our honorable north is returning to live in the days of ignorance, major battles within the Quraysh between the Umayyads and the Banu Hashim, the Tabaah, the Ghassanids, and the Yamaniyya."
