To escape from the high heat and power outages..Citizens in Hodeidah flee towards the mountainous areas

Dozens of Tihama families left from the center of Hodeidah governorate, to the mountainous areas with moderate temperatures, as a result of the power outages, which are controlled by Houthi gangs, as well as the intensification of the temperature. 

Local sources told NewsYemen that the families that left Hodeidah, some of whose members are elderly, suffer from chronic diseases, and that the decision to go to mountainous areas with temperate weather came after deaths were recorded among the elderly as a result of the inability to breathe.

The sources added that diseases and epidemics spread widely in Hodeidah, affecting both adults and children, and many diseases, especially skin diseases, befell them.

It  pointed out that these epidemics have symptoms, fever and pain in the body and joints, while the victims are children who suffer from complications, and cause death.

This epidemic spreads widely in Hodeidah and its districts, which are controlled by the Houthi militia, as a result of electricity cuts and high temperatures, while the Houthi militia refuses to operate Hodeidah stations.

The Houthi militia is carrying out campaigns of looting and looting against the people, and it has leased the Hodeidah power plant to merchants loyal to it, and has doubled consumption bills to large sums of money, which the people are unable to pay.
