Taiz, NewsYemen, special:

An official document obtained by NewsYemen revealed that the Minister of Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, was behind suspicious recruitment operations carried out by the Brotherhood in the countryside of Taiz.

And media sources revealed, last week, suspicious numbering operations in Taiz and unannounced, led by the Brotherhood, Muhammad Salem al-Khawlani, the former commander of the military police, under the name of “emergency forces” with the aim of including 5,000 members of the Brotherhood, under the directives of the Minister of Interior Ibrahim Haidan.

Following the uproar caused by the revelation, Haydan sent a letter on Friday to the governor of Taiz and the leaders of the axis and security in the governorate, in which he said that the recruitment processes that take place in the “Technical School” and “Afa Camp” in the Al-Shamaytayn District, are official recruitment under the framework of the Ministry of Interior.

In his letter, the minister claimed that he had "official directives" to that effect, without specifying whether they were issued by the Presidential Council, only saying that "the President of the Presidential Leadership Council is aware of them."

A source in the local authority in Taiz explained that the minister's letter issued on Friday followed directives from the President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi to the Governor of Taiz to stop the recruitment operations that were recently revealed in Taiz under the name of "emergency forces" of the Ministry of Interior.

Considering that the minister's directive is a clear rebellion against the directives of the head of the Presidential Command Council, noting that the minister indirectly admitted in his speech that the recruitment operations were not issued by orders from the leadership of the council, which confirms the accusations that they are based on old directives from former President Hadi and his deputy Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar  .

The source referred to what was mentioned in the minister's letter addressed to the governor of Taiz and the leaders of the axis and security in the governorate, in addition to the "staff of the emergency forces", which is the name of the formation in whose name the recruitment is currently taking place, which indicates the existence of unannounced decisions by the minister to appoint leaders for these forces.

Regarding the minister’s allegations about the head of the Presidential Command Council’s knowledge of recruitment operations, the source mentioned the rebellion against the decisions of council member and Hadramout Governor Major General Faraj al-Bahsani to change the security director of Hadramout Valley in early May.

At that time, the First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, the Brotherhood leader, Major General Muhammad bin Aboud Al-Sharif, sent an official memorandum to the dismissed security director, rejecting Al-Bahsani’s decisions and preventing the designated director from entering the Security Department.

Al-Sharif claimed at the time that it was on the orders of Minister Haidan, which came "in implementation of the directives of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi" to stop the directives of Al-Bahsani, to turn out later that this was not true.  He stressed that this was "in implementation of Al-Alimi's directives."
