Amidst great secrecy, the Houthi militia grants Yemeni citizenship to experts from Iran, Lebanon and Iraq

Security sources working in the Ministry of Interior of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, confirmed that the latter granted Yemeni citizenship to a large number of foreign dignitaries during the last period, in an operation that takes place amid complete secrecy . 

The sources told NewsYemen that the Interior Minister, Abdul Karim al-Houthi, had issued orders to grant Yemeni citizenship to dozens of foreigners in Sanaa and some militia-controlled areas since he assumed the position of minister on May 5, 2019, that is, more than three years ago.
