Head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, said, "The alignment of the goal and decision partners from the south and north of the country in the temporary capital, Aden, reflects the determination of all forces to restore the state, and move to a more participatory space in which Yemenis determine their future on the basis of coexistence, as they were and did so.  Since God created this good earth, and whoever is on it.

He added, in a speech on the occasion of the 22nd of May, that "at every historical moment the partners from the north and the south have come together to bring about transformation, and we can do that now, because without the union we will all have to wait for the fate of our country, which is determined by the expansionist foreign interventions of the Iranian regime."

He pointed out that it is very rare, in the history of our country and our nation, that our people have faced such adversities together, a group beyond prehistoric times, and with it war, epidemic and famine, claiming the lives of tens of thousands of our children and mothers, our youth and our men, and the internal displacement of millions,  Across countries and continents, we will become one of the largest humanitarian crises on the face of the planet.

He pointed out that in order to overcome this bitter reality, to try to stop the bloodshed, to triumph over the sacrifices of our heroes, and to secure the future of our country, it required much more than words. It required reconciliation, cohesion, and alignment.  The establishment of the Presidential Leadership Council was to embody a message of peace and determination to achieve the will of our people, who are looking forward in all cases to a modern, stronger, cohesive, and just state, a state of rule of law, equality, rights and freedoms, with the support and backing of our brothers.

He said, "The past few weeks of the armistice have taught us an important lesson in the importance of permanent alignment with our people, and conceding without hesitation from the position of ability and responsibility in order to lift their suffering under our oath and our pledge of responsibility for all Yemenis, and we appeal to the international community to put pressure on the leadership of the coup militias not to  The joy of Yemenis is being killed by these steps towards a just and comprehensive peace based on the agreed references locally, regionally and internationally, and working to stop the bloodshed and the specter of starvation from our honorable people.

President Al-Alimi renewed his directives to the government to expedite, within one month, the establishment of the National Authority for the treatment and care of the wounded and injured of the army, security and resistance, and the families of the martyrs among them, and to issue a law with a special fund for its resources, stressing to move forward with efforts to unify the military and security institution, in accordance with the Riyadh Agreement, and the announcement of the transfer of power,  This will be done through a military and security committee, which will be announced in the next few days.

In the general executive context, the Chairman of the Leadership Council affirmed the priority of the economic issue in the plans and directions of the Council and the government of political competencies, including working to activate exports, develop revenues, and regularly pay the salaries of public service employees, the armed forces, security and pensions, reiterating the commitment of the leadership and the government, to improving  Services in all governorates, at the forefront is the temporary capital of Aden, which will receive special attention, befitting its position, history, city, beauty, goodness and purity of its residents.

President Al-Alimi stressed that the council will work primarily to combat corruption through the development of the control and accountability body, and the SELECTION of a new supreme national anti-corruption body to succeed the existing body.

On the level of international and international efforts for peace, President Al-Alimi stressed.  For the good offices of the UN envoys, the US, and the international community to end the suffering of the Yemeni people.  At the same time, he stressed the need to implement all the provisions of the armistice, at the forefront of which was the opening of the crossings of Taiz and other cities, calling on the international community to redouble pressure to push the Houthi militia towards completing the procedures for exchanging prisoners, detainees and those forcibly disappeared.  Disbursing the salaries of employees from the fees of oil derivatives ships arriving at the port of Hodeidah, and ending the war of services run by the putschists against the Yemeni people.

President Al-Alimi also affirmed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to continue to support the international efforts to extend the humanitarian truce, while reiterating adherence to the initiative of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and considering it a just basis for a comprehensive peace process.

President Rashad Al-Alimi, on behalf of the members of the Leadership Council and the Yemeni people, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the brave, loyal brothers in the countries of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, for all the military support they provided and continue to provide to their brothers in Yemen  political, diplomatic, economic, financial and relief, in the face of the coup and the ambitions of its Iranian backers.

He praised the role of the rest of the brothers in the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, "who were known only as a supporter and supporter of Yemen in all circumstances, with the hope that the desired day will come when our country will be a full member with its brothers in this great Arab edifice."

He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to all the Arab brothers, friends and donors, especially the Arab Republic of Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, who opened the doors of Egypt to hundreds of thousands of our people, whether for residence, temporary stability due to war conditions, treatment, or education.
