Aden, NewsYemen:

The Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant-General Saghir bin Aziz, said that the Houthi militia sent large reinforcements, including military vehicles and heavy and medium weapons, to the vicinity of the city of Ma'rib, taking advantage of the declared truce and stopping the air raids of the coalition fighters.

Lieutenant-General Ibn Aziz said, in a statement, on Monday, that the Houthis "are going ahead with their military buildup and logistical preparations to thwart the truce and launch a major attack on Ma'rib Governorate under a pretext that they will make at the right moment for them."

He added that the Houthi militia "does not view the truce except as a mere opportunity to rearrange its ranks and mobilize its human, material and arm capabilities in preparation for an even fiercer battle."

While the Chief of the General Staff said that the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council represents a practical transformation and an advanced step in the path of ending the conflict, stopping the war, restoring the Yemeni state, and achieving security and stability in Yemen and the region.

He added that the Houthi militia "has two options, either to leave arms and negotiate with the Yemenis as a political component, or to wait for the battle to be resolved militarily."
