Aden, NewsYemen:

Local sources told NewsYemen that the explosion that rocked a camp for forces affiliated with legitimacy in the Mudiyah district of Abyan governorate (southern Yemen) on Sunday afternoon was caused by an attack by a bombed drone.

Other sources told "Newsyemen ", in a previous news, that a violent explosion rocked the Fifth Brigade camp, west of the city of Mudiyah, causing deaths and injuries.

It stated that an explosion was heard in the middle of the camp, and smoke was seen rising from inside the camp, without clarifying the nature of the explosion, and whether it was the result of external or internal bombing.

Later, identical sources confirmed that the Houthi militia had targeted the camp with a booby-trapped drone.

It added that the attack killed at least two soldiers and wounded 20 others, some of whom are in critical condition.

Analysts said that the Houthi drone attack on the camp aims to ignite a conflict between the legitimate forces and the southern forces, with the aim of relieving the military pressure on the militia on the al-Bayda fronts.
