The Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, resorted to claiming the existence of more than 20 Saudi military bases in Al-Mahra Governorate, southeast of Yemen, after the Arab coalition denied the allegations of UAE military bases on the islands of Socotra and Mayun.
And media outlets affiliated with the Brotherhood, including satellite channels broadcasting from Turkey, promoted news attributed to the so-called “Sit-in Committee in Mahra,” a Brotherhood entity that works within the agenda of regional countries opposed to the Arab coalition, in which they claimed the presence of more than 20 Saudi military bases in the province.
However, a spokesman for this Brotherhood committee, Ali Mubarak Mahamed, failed during a television interview on a Qatari-funded Brotherhood channel to locate these Saudi bases, so he returned to saying that they were “sites” after they were “bases.”
The Brotherhood deliberately stirred up whirlwinds about the presence of Saudi military forces in Al-Mahra Governorate, as part of the tasks of the Arab coalition forces, while the coalition denied in an official statement, which was reported by the Saudi Press Agency, "SPA", about the presence of military bases for the UAE on the islands of Socotra and Socotra. "Myon".
In the statement, the coalition stressed that the role of the United Arab Emirates is currently focused on confronting the Houthi militia from the air, in defense of the city of Ma'rib.
