Griffiths in Sanaa for the first time in a year

The United Nations special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, arrived on Sunday in Sana'a, for the first visit in nearly a year.
Political sources said that Griffiths arrived in Sanaa to hold meetings with leaders of the Houthi militia.
The UN envoy will discuss with the militia leadership the ceasefire plan, easing restrictions on the freedom of movement of people and goods nationwide, and the parties' commitment to re-launching the political process.
At the conclusion of a visit to the Omani capital, Muscat, during which he met the Houthi negotiating delegation and senior Omani officials, Griffiths said that the Yemeni parties can still seize the opportunity and make progress towards resolving the conflict.
