On Saturday, the Houthi militia targeted populated villages in the Al-Zaher district, west of Al-Bayda governorate, with indiscriminate shelling, causing material damage.

Local sources in Al-Zaher district said that the homes of citizens in the villages of Habj were bombed with mortars and BMB bullets, which led to severe damage to a citizen's house and car.

The sources added that the shelling launched by the Iranian-backed militias from their positions in the hills adjacent to Habj also caused a state of panic among the women and children.

Since its invasion of Al-Bayda Governorate in late 2014, the Houthi militia has resorted to bombing residential neighborhoods in response to any losses incurred by its members on the frontlines. The militia's shells and mines have caused the death and wounding of hundreds of innocent civilians and the death of herds of livestock.
