The Arab Coalition announced the discovery of an Iranian-made naval mine, which was planted by the Houthi militia in the Red Sea, west of Yemen.
A statement by the coalition, published by the Saudi Press Agency, "SPA", stated that a marine mine had been discovered and destroyed in the southern Red Sea.
The statement referred to "the removal and destruction of 205 marine mines, which the Houthi group has randomly deployed since the start of its operations in Yemen."
The statement indicated that the discovered sea mine is of an Iranian-made type (seashell).
The statement said that the planting of sea mines comes with Iranian support, which threatens international shipping routes and global trade.
Earlier on Monday, the coalition announced that it had thwarted an "imminent hostile attack" by the Houthi militia via a booby-trapped boat in the southern Red Sea.
The coalition stated, in a brief statement, that "an imminent hostile attack by a booby-trapped boat by the Houthi terrorist group in the southern Red Sea was thwarted," without specifying the target and location of the attack.
He pointed out that the Houthis "continued to threaten maritime shipping lines and international trade."
The coalition accused the Houthis of using the Stockholm Agreement as an umbrella for launching hostile attacks from Hodeidah Governorate, in western Yemen.
And last Monday, the Arab coalition announced, in a statement, that it had thwarted a similar hostile attack in the south of the Red Sea.
