Intense Israeli raids on Gaza ... and Palestinian missiles bombing settlements

 The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, on Sunday, that the number of victims of the continuous Israeli raids and shelling on the Gaza Strip a week ago increased to 174, including 47 children and 29 women, in addition to 1,200 wounded.

The ministry said in a statement that 17 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids on the Gaza Strip on Sunday.

This comes as Israel intensified its raids on the Gaza Strip, on Sunday, as more than 200 warplanes launched attacks overnight, in the most violent attack since the start of the Israeli military escalation.

The raids targeted 4 homes in Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, and the house of Yahya Sinwar, head of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, early Sunday morning, and a number of sites inside the Strip.

The Israeli Air Force announced the targeting of homes and offices belonging to three Hamas leaders in Gaza, in addition to targeting the Hamas tunnels network in Gaza with 100 guided missiles, bombing 40 sites used to launch rockets at Israel, and bombing dozens of Hamas factories and weapons stores, confirming that about 2,900 rockets They were launched from the Gaza Strip since the start of the military operation, and the Iron Dome system intercepted about 1,150 rockets.

At the same time, the Palestinian resistance factions fired rocket-propelled grenades at the border settlements with the Gaza Strip, on Tel Aviv.

Israeli media reported that explosions were heard in Tel Aviv on Sunday morning, after a third burst of rockets were fired at central Israel, while the Israeli army announced that 120 rockets had been fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israel in the last 12 hours.

The rockets fired from Gaza resulted in 9 deaths in Israel, including a child and a soldier, and more than 560 wounded.

In his speech, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, stressed the continuation of the Israeli operations with full force in Gaza in order to achieve their goals. He described the situation inside Israel as dangerous, and admitted that his country faces difficult days.

US President Joe Biden had held a telephone conversation with Netanyahu to discuss the escalating violence between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

The call saw Biden confirm his support for the two-state solution, according to a statement issued by the White House.

The US President also assured Netanyahu of the need to take steps that allow the Palestinians to live in safety and dignity, and make Jerusalem a place for peaceful coexistence among all.

Biden expressed his concern about the sectarian violence inside Israel between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

After Israel targeted the evacuation tower in Gaza, which housed a number of international media offices, Biden called on the Israeli prime minister to ensure the security of journalists.
