Marib, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The army and tribes responded, on Monday, to a widespread attack by the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, in the "Murad" front, south of the Marib governorate, in the east of the country.

Two tribal sources told "NewsYemen" that violent battles broke out between the two sides, after the Houthis launched a major offensive towards the positions of tribesmen on the outskirts of "Jabal Murad."

On the other hand, a field source told "NewsYemen", that dozens of Houthi militia members were killed and wounded during the confrontations that took place after the attack, while three army and tribal fighters were killed.

He indicated that the army artillery targeted the Houthi militia with intense bombing, which resulted in human and material losses in the ranks of Iran's arm.

In conjunction with the battles, the Arab coalition fighters launched raids on reinforcements that were on their way to the Houthis, and the air strikes resulted in the destruction of all combat crews and their loads of weapons and ammunition, and the deaths of those on board.

On the other hand, the army forces shot down a drone (bomb) launched by the Houthis over the positions of government forces and tribesmen at the entrance front north of Marib.
