YEMAC, MASAM destroy thousands of mines, IEDs in al-Jawf

Yemen Executive Mine Action Center (YEMAC) in cooperation with the Saudi Program MASAM destroyed thousands of mines, improvised explosive devices and explosive barrels in al-Jawf province on Friday.
The director of the Yemeni program the Brigadier General Amin al-Aqeli said the destruction took place within two days, and it is the second process of destroying landmines and others.
The Brigadier General said it has been destroyed a new quantity of mines and improvised explosive devices estimated at thousands, including: explosive drums, anti-tank mines, individual and improvised explosive devices.
On Wednesday, the engineering teams destroyed about 868 mines after being lift from different areas after the Houthi militias planted them in high density and indiscriminately in high-impact areas.
