The ministry, according to an official source in it, confirmed that this decision falls within the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council, the efforts of the government, and the understandings with donors for our country, in order to implement comprehensive reforms in the financial, economic and administrative aspects, and to fight corruption.
The source reaffirmed, according to the Saba government agency, the keenness of the government and the Ministry of Finance to take the necessary measures to confront and combat financial and administrative corruption in state institutions, and to make optimal use of the support provided by Yemen's development partners, led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, in the financial and economic aspects and harnessing That support is what contributes to the stability and improvement of the economy and the improvement of the general and living conditions of citizens.
He also affirmed that the government and the Ministry of Finance are moving forward in confronting financial and administrative corruption and drying up its sources in state institutions, and correcting imbalances in the salary file of civil, military and security employees, by implementing the decision to pay the salaries of central and local authority employees through qualified banks, which will contribute significantly to controlling any manipulation and payment of salaries for fictitious, double names, and those who are suspended from work in state institutions.

In its circular issued in early August, the Ministry of Finance identified seven banks that will handle the payment of salaries to state employees, including the central and local authorities, namely (the National Bank of Yemen, the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank, Al-Kuraimi Bank for Islamic Microfinance, Tadhamon Bank, Shamel Bank of Yemen and Bahrain, Bank of Al-Qutaibi Islamic Microfinance Bank, and Aden Microfinance Bank).
