The Bakil tribe announced that it is not related to the statement issued by the Islah Party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen, in which it responded to the statements of the Governor of Al-Jawf, Hussein Al-Aji Al-Awadi, regarding his inability to carry out his work.
The tribe’s announcement was made by Sheikh Muhammad bin Naji Al-Shayef, who held the Islah party responsible for the rebellion that is happening in Al-Jawf, stressing that this rebellion is unacceptable, and not responding to the legitimate decisions in selfish partisan actions that harm the interest of the governorate and its people.
He pointed out that these actions of the Islah Party impede the liberation of Al-Jawf Governorate from the Houthi militia, calling on the Dahm tribes to unite their ranks and fight the battle to restore Al-Jawf on the way to recovering the capital, Sana'a, from the Tehran mullahs' militia, and ignoring the discordant voices that try to involve the Al-Jawf tribes in partisan conflicts that do not belong to them.
Sheikh Al-Shayef warned against attributing partisan statements to the Bakil or Dahm tribe, calling on the media to investigate credibility and not be drawn in behind false allegations and impersonators of the tribe's attributes and names to serve opportunistic and narrow partisan interests.
On Thursday, December 8, the governor of Al-Jawf, Major General Hussein Al-Ajji Al-Awadi, accused the Islah Party and the Marib authorities of rebelling against the decision to appoint him to the position nearly two months ago.
Al-Awadi said that his directives had not been responded to since the decision was issued, and that the previous administration continued to run the affairs of the governorate and continue to disburse money through the Central Bank branch in Marib, "as if nothing had happened." He added that she had recently refused to deal with the committee formed by the Ministry of Local Administration to receive and deliver between him and the former governor.
Al-Awadi implicitly accused the Islah Party and a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, the governor of Marib, Sultan al-Arada, of rebelling against the Council's president's decision to appoint him to the position, as he called on the leadership of the Islah Party to "enforce the decisions of legitimacy and to have a position on what is happening in Al-Jawf."
The Islah party, which is based in the city of Marib, supports the rebellion of Amin al-Akimi, the former governor of Al-Jawf, against the decisions of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council regarding the appointment of a governor for the province and a leader for the axis, the two positions that al-Akimi held.
