Mocha, NewsYemen, private:

The outcomes of the Arab summit, which concluded on Wednesday in the Algerian capital, reflected a catastrophic failure of the diplomatic side of the Presidential Leadership Council in confronting the terrorist Houthi group.

It failed to materialize in the inability to include in the statement of the Arab summit a clear condemnation of the Houthi group and its terrorist attacks, especially its attack on oil export ports in the liberated governorates last month, despite the demands of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi in his speech at the summit.

The failure was also embodied in the absence of this in the words of leaders and representatives of Arab countries that were delivered at the summit, with the exception of the speech of Sheikh Mishaal Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Deputy Emir and Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait, in which he condemned the Al-Daba attack by the Houthi group and described it as a terrorist.

Despite this failure, the Yemeni government's foreign affairs and its official media resorted to falsifying news claiming to condemn the Arab summit of the Houthi group and its attacks, as well as obstructing the extension of the truce agreement in Yemen.

Where the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, published on his official account on "Twitter" a summary issued by the ministry on the most important decisions of the Arab summit, claiming "the condemnation of the terrorist Houthi militia for its refusal to extend the armistice and its recent attacks on oil installations."

It was remarkable that the word "terrorist" was highlighted in red, in an attempt to suggest that it was Arab support for the decision of the Presidential Leadership Council to classify the Houthi group as a terrorist group.

The allegations of Ibn Mubarak and his ministry were torpedoed by the final statement of the summit, which never mentioned the name of the Houthi group, let alone condemning it. He only spoke in one paragraph about the Yemeni file by repeating support for the legitimate government and calling for a political solution and the renewal of the truce.

Ibn Mubarak reiterated these allegations in an interview with Al-Sharq channel on the sidelines of the Arab summit, where he said that "the summit, in its adopted decision on the Yemeni issue, spoke of a clear condemnation of the terrorist Houthi militia," but he went back to contradicting his allegations in his response to a question.  On the government's hopes from the Arab summit, and the possibility of classifying the Houthis as a "terrorist organization".

Where he evaded answering the question by saying that "the problem lies in Al-Houthi and Iran," adding: Therefore, we do not expect to address this crisis here at the Arab Summit, from which we expect "in support of the approaches and positions taken by the right-wing government, and its blessing for the steps taken internally", in reference to the decision of the Leadership Council.  designating the Houthis as a terrorist group.

A contradiction and confusion that confirms the weakness of the diplomatic side of the legitimate government, as a result of the disastrous performance of the leadership of the previous legitimacy during the past seven years, with absurd appointment decisions that made the ministry, embassies and attachés lose competencies and qualified and specialized cadres in managing the external file and highlighting the true picture of what Yemenis suffer from the crimes and destruction of the Houthi militia  Iranian backed.
