Hadhramaut Governor Mabkhout bin Madi took strong and courageous measures to eradicate corruption and rectify the conditions of government institutions in the governorate.

Governor Ben Madi issued a number of decisions, since he assumed the position of governor, targeting the forces of corruption, as he relieved all the governor’s advisors from their duties, and stopped the levies imposed by illegal forces.

Governor Ben Madi talked about corruption in the revenues of the deposit outlet, the scales and the qat taxes, and directed to stop the tampering and return those resources to the governorate.

These decisions prompted the affected forces to declare direct war on Governor Ben Madi to obstruct them, as they launched a wide media campaign against the local authority to thwart it.

The southern writer and political analyst Saeed Bakran stressed that the measures taken by the governor regarding the revenues of the deposit outlet, the balances and the qat taxes, are the cause of the madness that the Islah party kitchens in Mukalla are pumping against the governor Ben Madi.

Bakran accused the Brotherhood's Islah party in Mukalla of being the beneficiary of resource corruption and illegal levies, in Hadhramaut.

And he said in a post on Facebook, that Governor Ben Madi is subjected to a coordinated campaign by the two parties to reform Hadramawt and the forces of corruption that were affected by his decisions regarding taxes, balances and qat taxes.

Bakran indicated that the Islah party in Hadhramaut seeks to show the governor Ben Madi that he is under their jurisdiction and authority, in order to incite the Hadrami street against him and distort the image of the governor, because this party is a distorted party and just for a person to appear as being under his jurisdiction means severing his connection with the people.

Bakran explained that confronting corruption is not an easy thing and needs popular support, explaining that the forces of corruption are not easy and possess many papers, including the media paper, falsification of facts, reversal of facts and misinformation.

Bakran, the governor, Ben Madi, warned against the discourse launched by the Brotherhood’s forces and their partners in corruption, claiming their concern for Hadhramaut, its resources, and its independence, and not for the subordination of its resources to Aden.

Governor Ben Madi's decisions were widely welcomed and praised, as the people of Hadhramaut confirmed their support for these measures, and lined up behind the local authority until their implementation.

Southern activists and politicians affirmed their support and support for Governor bin Madi, in order to restore national sovereignty over the Hadhramaut valley and desert, build and activate state institutions and combat corruption in the governorate.

Politicians said that Ben Madi represents a real consensus between the components and segments of the Hadrami society, and bears a great responsibility in exceptional circumstances that require full support for him.

The Vice President of the Al-Mahra Transitional Council, Hassan Balhaf, confirmed that the governor of Hadhramaut bin Madi began correcting the state institutions in the governorate and changed the corrupt from the tools of the former regime, realizing that the advancement of the governorate's status requires new tools and elements.

The southern journalist, Adnan Al-Ajam, called on the people of Hadhramaut to stand with Governor Ben Madi and his decisions if they want the best for their governorate.
