Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

Economic sources in Sanaa said that the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, is destroying the banking sector in Sanaa and its areas of control.

The sources explained to NewsYemen the danger of managing the economy through the so-called economic committee affiliated with the militias, in addition to taking over the preventive security management of the banks instead of the central bank.

Al-Houthi's policies contributed to the migration of nearly $27 billion from the Yemeni market abroad, as companies moved their activities and banks went through dangerous working conditions that froze most of their activities.

Al-Houthi crowns his performance with arrangements for the issuance of a decision by the so-called Supreme Political Council that includes canceling the banking system through banks with allegations of fighting usury, provided that the work of exchange companies replaces the banking system.

According to the sources, several meetings held by the Houthi Economic Committee headed by Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the so-called Supreme Political Council, and the presence of the Mufti of the Houthi militias and a number of their religious leaders were devoted to discussing the issue of canceling the banking system through banks and replacing it with exchange companies, stressing that this trend aims mainly to loot and steal money.  Depositors in banks that are still operating in Sana’a and some areas under the control of militias, especially the money of depositors from major traders and owners of investment companies, as well as ensuring full control of the militias over the movement of capital in their areas of authority through their control over most of the exchange companies that have been established since their coup  on the authority and their armed control over the capital, Sana’a, and state institutions on September 21, 2014.

The sources stressed the Houthi militia leaders' rejection of all advice and proposals that were presented to them regarding this issue and their indifference to the catastrophic results in the event of implementing their project on the country's economy or at least on the economic situation of the population in their areas of control, and the position of the international community, whose relations will be severed, especially in the economic aspect, which is  Which confirms that the militias have nothing but to build a separatist state of their own with institutions completely subordinate to them and to destroy all the rest of the institutions and structures of the state.

The sources pointed out that the Houthi tendencies in this matter completely undermine what it presents in the discussions that are taking place under UN supervision regarding the attempt to agree to neutralize the economy and reach agreements that guarantee the unification of the work of the banking sector and in a manner that guarantees the delivery of the salaries of state employees that have been cut off for five years, which has caused a humanitarian disaster that has reached an extent.  The spread of famine among the vast majority of the country's population, especially those living under the authority of the Houthi militia.  This confirms the lack of credibility and seriousness of the Houthis in any international negotiations, but rather provides evidence that they are proceeding with the implementation of their agenda and project, which reflects their employment and subordination to the Iranian regime and their quest to achieve its agenda, which includes building an entity similar to the Lebanese Hezbollah, in other words building a state that is affiliated and client to Iran inside Yemen that will lead  The same role played by the Lebanese Hezbollah in controlling Lebanon and confiscating its decision.  This had catastrophic consequences that led Lebanon to the point of bankruptcy.
