The victories achieved by the southern forces accelerated during the past few days to purify the directorates of the Shabwa and Abyan governorates from terrorist organizations after 3 years of spreading and being under the eyes of the security and military formations loyal to the Brotherhood.
Operation "Arrows of the East", launched by the forces of the Transitional Council to purify Abyan governorate from terrorist elements, achieved important victories during the past two days, after storming al-Qaeda camps and strongholds in the coastal and central regions of Abyan.
During the past two days, "Arrows of the East" forces were able to purify the districts of Ahwar, Lawdar, Al-Wadaya, and Mudiyah from the elements of terrorist organizations, which fled towards the Al-Mahfad district, its last stronghold in Abyan governorate, after failing in its attempt to impede the advance of the forces by detonating the explosive devices, which left a number of martyrs and wounded in the ranks of the forces. "Arrows of the East".
Simultaneously, the southern forces in Shabwa announced the completion of the first phase of Operation "Arrows of the south " Siham al-Janoub and the achievement of its entire objectives by clearing al-Masana'a, the mountains of Wadi Mazhab, Wadi Sarae and Wadi Atfalah, from terrorist groups.
These accelerating victories of the southern forces over the elements of terrorism recalled their previous victories in the same areas in 2016 and 2017, in addition to the Hadhramaut coast, with the full support of the Arab coalition, specifically the UAE. These victories suffered a setback with the return of terrorist elements to Shabwa and Abyan after the pro-Brotherhood forces took control of it in August 2019 .
During this period, the influence and spread of terrorist elements in these areas in addition to the Hadhramaut Valley increased and reached the point of kidnapping employees of international organizations, with the silence and complicity of the forces loyal to the Brotherhood in these areas.
The decisive victories of the southern forces against the terrorist elements add to their balance their decisive victories against the Houthi militia elements since 2015 until today, and the south has been completely cleansed of them, unlike the scene in the northern fronts under the control of the Brotherhood, which has been subjected to shocking collapses during the past two years.
Collapses were justified by the Brotherhood’s media machine under various pretexts, foremost of which was the lack of support provided by the Arab coalition to these fronts, and the failure of the legitimate army’s members to receive salaries for many months. These are allegations that are undermined by the facts of the earth and history.
The size of the support and armament that the fronts in the north received from the coalition since the first months of the Decisive Storm exceeds in many cases the support received by the southern forces, whose role in confronting the Houthi militia did not stop by liberating the southern regions, but rather launched and penetrated north, as happened in the battles to liberate the western coast all the way to to the outskirts of Hodeidah.
While the terrorist elements leading the battles to liberate Abyan are the forces affiliated with the Transitional Council, whose members suffer from delayed salaries for months, and the lack of any material support or armament from the coalition leadership in Aden, which undermines all allegations and justifications for failure to confront terrorism in the south And betrayal of the fronts in the north.
