Aden, NewsYemen:

The government of equal shares used Egypt’s expertise to develop the electricity sector and solve the crisis of interruptions that have been going on for decades, especially during the summer due to the large difference between the volume of generation and consumption.

In this regard, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met today, Tuesday, with representatives of the Egyptian Madkour Engineering Projects Company, headed by Mohamed Saqr, the group's commercial director.

The Egyptian delegation presented a number of ideas and proposals submitted by the group to develop the electricity sector in our country, and its willingness to build renewable energy generation plants, and develop transmission and energy lines.

He stressed that he will make maximum efforts to develop the electricity sector in our country as soon as possible, according to the official website of the Southern Transitional Council.

In turn, Al-Zubaidi expressed his confidence in the Egyptian competencies, and their ability to play an active role in advancing the electricity sector in our country, and solving the problem of lack of energy supply through strategic projects similar to the projects witnessed by the sisterly Republic of Egypt recently.

After the June 30, 2013 revolution, Egypt succeeded in solving the electricity crisis after developing a strategy aimed at diversifying the sources of electrical energy in line with global trends and benefiting from natural resources in the production of electricity, and today it has a large surplus and is ready to export electricity to neighboring countries.
