Modiyah breathes a sigh of relief.. Safety and calm return to the Directorate

The city of Modiyah breathed a sigh of relief after the southern forces entered it and cleansed its villages and surroundings from the terrorist groups that were spreading in it.
Modiyah, which defeated terrorism, was defeated by Lawdar during his control of large parts of the province, and its tribes managed to defeat the extremist elements, expel them and prevent their passage in the city. It has been let down since the Brotherhood forces entered Abyan governorate in August 2019, which witnessed the return of al-Qaeda elements to the district.
Al-Qaeda returned to the district, and the city became the most important refuge for it, and many of its leaders and members resided in the district after they had narrowed their ways as a result of their departure from Al-Bayda and Shabwa, and the organization issued a statement confirming this.
The organization issued a statement directed to the Al Saleh tribe, in which it complained that its members were being harassed and arrested by the limited force inside the city, noting that its soldiers were tired of the situation on the ground.
Modiyah was teeming with takfiri elements, and its liberation came as one of the biggest blows to which al-Qaeda in the province was subjected. Perhaps the detonation of 5 explosive devices and a booby-trapped motorcycle at the entrance to the directorate to impede the forces from entering confirms its importance to the organization that is unable to directly confront the southern forces.
Immediately after its entry, the city belt forces, which were rehabilitated, trained and supported, spread and secured the city and its villages to enjoy the security and safety that had been lost for years.
