Brotherhood forces did not enter the directorate and left it to al-Qaeda elements, who began killing and targeting the soldiers of the southern forces from the directorate and blowing up important facilities.
Soldiers from the Security Belt forces in Al-Wadea were subjected to assassinations and kidnappings by Al-Qaeda when they returned to visit their families in the district, and more than 10 separate assassinations targeting the city belt soldiers were recorded.
The terrorist organization not only targeted soldiers, but also blew up facilities in the city, as happened to the central building for communications and the Internet, which al-Qaeda blew up and flattened it.
Al-Qaeda had previously detonated the largest and most modern building, the inferior court building, which is located at the southern entrance to the city, through a car bomb, causing the entire building to collapse.
The district was completely paralyzed, all services were suspended, and the citizens were forced to transfer their patients and transactions to the districts of Lawdar and Mudiyah, which are far from squalid, after their district was transformed into a village.
After the Arrows of the East campaign, the features of the state’s return and its presence in the district began to appear after the deployment of the southern forces in the district and the setting up of points and sites at its entrances and exits, and securing its surroundings and mountains amid popular optimism for the return of life to the district.
Citizens in Al-Wadea are counting on its belt commander, Brigadier General "Mohammed Abdullah Samqa Al-Marmi" to restore life to the district, secure their property, and create a stable and safe environment for merchants from outside the district.
Marmi soldiers spread in their district after years of forced displacement, and they all hope that the reign of terror and destruction will end in the city.
