Al-Houthi and Brotherhood base under the strikes of the southern forces in Shabwa and Abyan

The southern armed forces tightened the noose on terrorist elements backed by the Brotherhood and the Houthis, in Abyan and Shabwa, after the security campaign carried out by the Shabwa Defense and the Giants against al-Qaeda elements, in Al-Saeed Directorate in Shabwa.
At dawn on Saturday, Operation Arrows of the South was launched to purify Shabwa Governorate from terrorism, while Arrows of the East, launched by the southern forces in Abyan, continue.
The military campaign aims to fortify the south from terrorist intrusions.
Seham Al-Janoub (Arrows of the South) achieved successes on its first day, as the Shabwa Defense Forces and the Southern Giants were able to purify the sites and camps of Al-Qaeda in the Al-Masinaa area in Al-Saeed district.
Videos published by the media center of the Shabwa Defense Forces confirm the success of Operation Seham Al Janoub in clearing Wadi Sa`ra in Al Musanah of terrorist elements.
On Sunday, the arrows of the East managed to penetrate the central region of Abyan governorate, which is the most dangerous area of the base, which tried to blow up the roads to impede the progress of the southern forces.
The specialist in the affairs of terrorist groups, Muhammad bin Faisal, warned the southern armed forces against treacherous and surprising terrorist operations, through explosive devices, booby-traps and ambushes.
Ibn Faisal explained that the terrorist organization is too weak to confront the southern forces, and does not engage in any real confrontation in most cases, but rather by planting explosive devices and ambushes, indicating that the organization does not have enough capacity to engage in a real confrontation, except in rare cases and important strongholds.
The spokesman for the southern armed forces, Muhammad al-Naqib, said that Operation Arrows of the South comes in parallel with Operation Arrows of the East and within the framework of the ongoing battle to purify the south of terrorist elements.
The leader of the Southern Transitional Council, Ahmed al-Rubaizi, confirmed that Operation Arrows of the South has been well prepared, and comes as a continuation of Operation Arrows of the East, which was launched to hunt down terrorist elements in Abyan governorate last week.
The head of the Aden Center for Strategic Research and Statistics, Hussein Hanshi, said that Operation Arrows of the South, launched by the southern forces to purify Shabwa from terrorism, is what will make the real purification.
For his part, journalist Ali Nasser al-Awlaki called on the Shabwa tribes to support the security and military campaign against terrorism, prevent the presence of al-Qaeda members in their areas, and report any movement by them.
Al-Awlaki stressed that the operation was launched in Shabwa and will not stop until every inch of the governorate is cleansed of the Brotherhood’s evil and terrorist elements.
