The forgotten north, without salaries and services, id busy with liberating the south
English - Saturday 27 August 2022 الساعة 07:23 pmWhy are Yemenis in the northern governorates preoccupied with what is happening in the south, while most of them do not talk about what is happening in their areas controlled by the Houthis?
Southern activist and journalist Saleh al-Hanashi frequently asks questions on his Facebook page.
In his latest questions, al-Hanashi wrote: "Houthi-controlled areas inhabited by more than twenty million people, which is equal to three quarters of the country's population, no pension, no services,, injustice and oppression."
Surprisingly, he added: "With this, it is not as if there is any problem in this region and things are very well and no one is talking about it."
Al-Hanashi pointed out that "all the controversy over what is happening in the liberated southern areas, even the residents of Houthi-controlled areas are busy with the events of the liberated area."
He continued: "A strange world, as if you see an exemplary model in the Houthi-controlled areas?"
The catastrophe, according to Saleh al-Hanashi, that there are those who write from inside Sanaa and criticize parties to the legitimacy, accusing them that what they are doing is a betrayal of the republic and unity and that it is an act that hinders the restoration of the state from the grip of the Houthis.
Al-Hanashi asked those writers, saying: "If you are so keen to overthrow the Houthis, why are the Houthi not prosecuting you, but they are prosecuting Intisar Al-Hammadi because of her hairstyle and considered it an act that threatens their authority?"
He added that "the problem is that hundreds of those affiliated with the legitimacy admire their proposal."
