The pragmatism of the Brotherhood and the Houthi extension of his legs in the north
English - Wednesday 27 July 2022 الساعة 09:31 amThe terrorist Brotherhood moves according to the pragmatic policy that it is good at as an opportunistic group. It deals with several faces to achieve its interests and reach its suspicious goals and objectives, even if it is at the expense of the country.
The recent rapprochement in the media discourse, between the arm of the Brotherhood in Yemen and the Houthi militia, the local arm of Iran, in attacking the Arab coalition and the national forces against the Iranian project in Yemen, and calling for peace and reconciliation with the Houthi, revealed the extent of harmony between the channels and media of the two terrorist groups.
The recent calls for the Brotherhood’s media to reconcile with the terrorist Houthi militia are in line with calls made by Houthi leaders to the leaders of the Islah party, stressing that their group’s hands are “stretched out for peace and dialogue with the party” and that they are “keen to stop the war with it because that is in the interest of both parties.”
Houthi leaders acknowledged the existence of a rapprochement between them and the Brotherhood's Islah party, which confirms the validity of the accusations raised about the Brotherhood playing a double role, and linking them secret relations with the Houthis, and this was revealed by Houthi leader Muhammad al-Bakhiti in a tweet to him on "Twitter" by saying: "Our case and the case of the Brotherhood One, and the threats facing us are one and big, which forced us to be in one trench.”
It is no longer a secret that rapprochement and that close relationship between the Houthi militia and its Brotherhood ally, and the two terrorist groups have consistently implemented Iran's agendas, which was manifested during the past few years in the aggression against the south, threatening its security and stability and directing many attacks on its citizens.
The suspicious relationship between the two terrorist groups was revealed during the war years, with the Brotherhood’s withdrawal from military confrontations with the Houthis, handing over the fronts to them, and shifting their goals from restoring the lands controlled by the pro-Iranian militia to extending control over the liberated areas.
In 2011, the "Brotherhood" supported the Houthi marches in Saada, and called on the armed rebel group to join the protests in Sana'a, to unite efforts to overthrow the regime. Al-Houthi found it an opportunity to expand in Saada and then overthrow it into their own hands, and later expand to other regions and governorates.
During the Houthi advance to Sana’a in 2014, the Brotherhood’s forces within the army failed to confront the militia in Amran governorate, which caused the collapse of the 310th Armored Brigade after the killing of its commander, Brigadier General Hamid al-Qushaibi, and the Brotherhood’s military leaders fled the battles with the Houthis. What enabled the militia to enter and overthrow Sanaa on September 21, 2014.
And before that, in July, after the Yemeni Brotherhood was declared a terrorist organization, the group’s leaders rushed to conclude a political deal with the leader of the militia, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, to stop the fighting against the Houthis, claiming that there are regional countries that want to fuel the conflict between the two terrorist groups.
And with the intervention of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia in 2015 to support and support the Yemeni army in confronting the Houthis. In restoring the areas controlled by the militia, the Brotherhood's military leaders found themselves part of the confrontation against the Houthis. However, with the expulsion of Qatar from the coalition because of its involvement in supporting terrorism, the Brotherhood turned to work for the benefit of their party, and began to withdraw from the confrontations with the Houthis, handing them over to the fronts and colluding with them against the forces resisting them, which led to the fall of a number of liberated areas again in the hands of the Houthis.
While the Houthi militia is working to preserve the areas under its control, the Brotherhood militia withdraws from confronting the Houthis, and is advancing towards the liberated areas in the south, using all its tools and means to prolong the war, and diverts its compass from Sanaa to the south, leaving the Houthis extending his legs in the north.
