Hadhramaut, NewsYemen:

Member of the Presidential Command Council, Governor of Hadhramaut, Commander of the Second Military Region, Major General Faraj Salem Al-Bahsani, issued directives on Monday suspending officials and a judge from work until further notice, due to their financial and administrative violations and their rebellion against legitimacy decisions, according to a politician in Hadhramaut.

Al-Bahsani’s directives directed to the commander of the first military region and the directors of security and police of the valley, desert and coast of Hadhramaut, stipulated the arrest of the governorate’s deputy for the affairs of the directorates of the valley and the desert, Issam Habrish Al-Kathiri, the director of the oil company’s branch in the valley and the desert, Abdul Rahman Belfas Al-Kathiri, and the Hadhramaut Coast Prosecutor Judge Shaker Mahfoud Banash.

The directive stated that the aforementioned names should be obligated to stop working until further notice, due to the violations they committed, provided that the arrest will take place from tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at six in the morning.

The political activist, Hisham Al-Jabri, said that these officials were arrested due to the administrative and financial violations they committed, pointing out that the aim of the suspension is to control the administrative and financial performance and to stop the rebellion against legitimacy in Wadi Hadhramaut by not implementing the decisions.

He added, in a post on his Facebook account, that if this rebellion against the Hadhramaut Valley Authority continues, the crisis will escalate, citing a source he described as an insider that will stop dealing with it and other decisions will be issued to include a wide structuring of a rotation and change that will include several dismissals, appointments and assignments.

Al-Bahsani’s decision to arrest these officials came after a similar decision issued by Shabwa Governor Awad bin Al-Wazir Al-Awlaki, on Sunday, to arrest Brigadier General Abd Rabbo Lakab, commander of the so-called (Special Security Forces) affiliated with the Brotherhood, and Colonel Wajdi Baoum, commander of Shabwa Defense’s Second Brigade  Work, against the backdrop of the clashes that took place last week in the city of Ataq, which resulted in deaths and injuries.
