A new challenge for the President.. Southern demands to put an end to the crimes of Lakab and his forces in Shabwa
English - Thursday 21 July 2022 الساعة 11:04 amSouthern activists and politicians demanded the arrest of the commander of the Brotherhood's Special Security Forces, La'ab al-Sharif, and an end to the crimes and practices of his forces in Shabwa governorate, stressing that this task is considered one of the challenges of the Presidential Leadership Council and the local authority in the governorate within the framework of efforts to enhance security and stability in the governorate.
The past days recorded a noticeable escalation in the crimes of assault by the Special Forces led by Lakab, most notably the attack on a security point belonging to the Shabwa Defense Forces in the city of Ataq, on Tuesday morning, while implementing a security campaign to prevent the carrying of weapons in the city, which resulted in the injury of two Shabwa Defense Forces soldiers in The attack and the killing of one of the guards of Akab. On Friday, a group belonging to the same forces was attacked, resulting in the injury of two soldiers. Before that, the personnel of the power point in Ataq intercepted a group led by one of the leaders of the 12th Brigade giants and prevented them from passing through.
The activists considered the incidents of assault by the Special Forces, especially the campaign to prevent the carrying of weapons, in rebellion against the decisions of the Security Committee headed by the Governor Awad Al-Wazir, which assigned the Shabwa Defense Forces to implement a security campaign to prevent armed manifestations in the city.
The hashtag #Rebellion_Brothers_in_Shabwa topped the Middle East trend list, as it ranked second, after activists and politicians interacted with it.
The southern media, Salah bin Laghbar, believes that what is happening in Shabwa is an outright Brotherhood rebellion, pointing out that the commander of the Special Forces rejected the governor's decision to ban carrying weapons in Ataq and attacked a security point with the aim of causing chaos, conflict and fighting.
He stressed that Lakab is just a tool that implements the Brotherhood's plans, and the organization wants chaos in the governorate.
In this regard, activist Muhammad Al-Uzaibi confirms that the governor, instead of the minister, must issue a decision to arrest the criminal, La’ak Al-Sharif, and refer him directly to the judiciary and prosecute him for all crimes committed against the southern people in Shabwa, on top of which is the assassination of the martyr Saeed Al-Qumaishi and his assassination of many Shabwani elite soldiers in cold blood .
Meanwhile, the media activist, Arslan Al-Sulaimani, called on the local authority in the governorate and the Presidential Leadership Council to put an end to the rebellion of the so-called ideological special forces that receive their orders from the former Houthi Houthi authority after they rejected the security committee’s decision to ban carrying weapons in the governorate capital Ataq.
Member of the Southern National Assembly, political activist, Wadah Ben Attia, believes that the Presidential Council has a responsibility to prove their credibility to put an end to the rebellion taking place in Shabwa from the Brotherhood's private militias. He said, "The urgent responsibility of the Presidential Council and the Security Committee is to issue directives to hand over the tasks of securing freedom for those who have proven their loyalty and patriotism, the Giants Forces and the Shabwa Defense Forces."
In turn, the journalist writer, Muhammad Al-Noud, pointed out that the Brotherhood faction led by Laakab is the one who creates crises and problems and stirs up unrest and tensions here and there from time to time to blow up the situation militarily in Shabwa, sometimes with the General Security, sometimes with the giants and other times with the defense of Shabwa, and the evidence is many and great.
He pointed out that Shabwa urgently needs all its people to line up to defend it, stressing that if the situation continues as it is, Shabwa will return to point zero.
Ibn Attia called on the blood guardians of the sons of Shabwa and human rights organizations to submit the crimes files of the command of the Special Forces to trial for all their previous crimes and to hold them accountable for the rebellion taking place now and their relationship and complicity with terrorism so that they receive their just punishment, stressing in this regard that the crimes do not have a statute of limitations.
Ibn Attia pointed out that the Special Forces in Shabwa receive their orders from Ibn Udayo and are subject to the directives of the Brotherhood, and that they have become the rule of the militias that must be seized and brought to trial, after their rebellion against the decisions of legitimacy and the consensus represented by the directives and decisions of the governor, Ibn al-Wazir.
Political activist Nafeh bin Kulaib stressed that it is time to withdraw the rug from the Brotherhood's special forces led by Laakab and confiscate their medium and heavy weapons that they obtained years ago from the Brotherhood leadership and remove them from any security missions to eliminate the last Brotherhood threat in Shabwa governorate and continue working to establish security and stability in it .
