Ibb, NewsYemen, private:

A large segment of the population of Ibb governorate and the displaced suffer from poverty and the absence of the most basic services and necessary goods. Even food aid granted by civil and foreign organizations has been prevented or confiscated, and it has been manipulated in favor of new names;  Either fake as an aspect of corruption, or closely linked to the Houthi movement.

Some citizens assert: We hand over the zakat and the rest of the names that are imposed on us from time to time, as they take advantage of our names in the statements that were registered within the aid.  They are counting how many sons we have, and they are even asking the chiefs, the sheikhs in the villages and the countryside, and the supervisors they appointed for many purposes, to encourage us to send our sons to cultural courses and to the battle fronts.

Zakat revenues collected from more than 20 directorates represented by its office manager, Majed Al-Tineh, exceed billions of riyals. No one can know their real banks or data, as well as where they go, how they are supplied and who benefits from them.

According to private sources, it is transferred to Sanaa in the manner chosen by the supervisors, and that what is happening;  Distributing some material and in-kind aid, and clothes to some orphans whose parents died in battles or for other results.

The sources added that these scenes are accompanied by an exaggerated media aura, through which the director of the Zakat Office and the Imami militia project is polished, and some direct moves to promote the militia leader.

Also the opening process and the cutting of tapes by Governor Salah and the agents who legitimize looting and levies, not to mention the overwhelming presence of some sheikhs and other leaders working for the Houthis and presenting an image of false justice.

Recently, a number of small traders, owners of gold shops and businessmen, were attacked, after they were charged with exaggerated fees that are estimated by those concerned by default, which causes them a lot of problems.

The sources confirm that there are hundreds of needy families who are in dire need of zakat returns, as well as dozens of insolvent people who have been languishing in prisons for years, and there are marginalized people and cleaners.
