Aden, NewsYemen, special:

Terrorist entities in Yemen, with their al-Qaeda and Houthi wings, escalated their threats to target the southern governorates, specifically the capital, Aden, in conjunction with the stability of the leadership of the Presidential Council, the government and parliament in it to administer the country during the next stage.

The arrival of state leaders to Aden coincided with the issuance of a strongly worded statement by the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda in Yemen, in which it attacked the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council, vowing to take up arms and continue the fight to eradicate it.

Al-Qaeda, in his statement, attacked Saudi Arabia and the UAE against the background of their role in forming the council, and considered the speech of the leadership of the Presidential Council and the outcomes of the Riyadh consultations about peace with Al-Houthi as "a betrayal of religion, the blood of the martyrs and the people of Yemen."

While the terrorist Houthi group vowed to cause chaos in Aden and the southern governorates against the backdrop of the stability of the leaders of the Presidential Council and state institutions in Aden, where the group’s leader, Muhammad al-Bakhiti, vowed, in a tweet to him on “Twitter”, to detonate what he called “a popular revolution in the south that will burn all the invaders with its fire.”  and their mercenaries," referring to the coalition and the Presidential Council.

Simultaneously, media sources revealed that the Houthi group released 31 members of Al-Qaeda, including leaders under the direction of its leader Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, as a reward for carrying out the assassination of Major General Thabet Jawas, commander of the Al-Anad axis, late last March in Aden by terrorist cells linked to the released leaders.

This step revealed the latest chapters of cooperation between the two terrorist groups, al-Houthi and al-Qaeda, and a clear indication of the existence of coordination and planning to carry out terrorist operations in the southern governorates, especially the capital, Aden.

This coordination is seen by activist and journalist Ahmed Al-Wafi as an agreement between the losing parties of the new political settlement to threaten the security and stability of the south, pointing to the incidents of Al-Houthi’s release of Al-Qaeda elements and the previous escape of 10 Al-Qaeda members from the central prison in Seiyun and the threat of Al-Qaeda to target the Presidential Council.

Al-Wafi said in a statement to "Newsmen", that these events confirm that al-Qaeda is affiliated with the Houthi and Brotherhood groups, noting that it brings back to memory the terrorist bombings that targeted the Emirati forces and the government of Khaled Bahah in the Al-Qasr Hotel in the city of Aden in October 2015, just days after its stability in the city

According to Al-Wafi, the 2015 Aden bombings came in response to the exclusion of the Brotherhood’s candidate to run Aden, and he adds: Today, playing is no longer under the table, but rather on the table, as if these groups (the Houthis and the Brotherhood) do not think about people, their awareness, and their connection to events, because terrorism does not strike Sanaa and the north, but rather strikes Aden and the governorates  The South... So does it take intelligence from us to know who is leading terrorism, then?"
