An official source in the local authority in the Marib governorate said that the governor, Sultan Al-Arada, had apologized for not participating in the Yemeni consultations sponsored by the Gulf Cooperation Council, at his permanent headquarters in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Earlier today, Yemeni-Yemeni consultations began in Riyadh under the auspices of the Gulf Cooperation Council, while the United Nations welcomed the Arab coalition's announcement to stop military operations in Yemen.
The source, who preferred not to be referred to by name, said in an exclusive statement to "Newsmen" that the governor of Ma'rib, Major General Sultan Al-Arada, had earlier received an invitation from the Gulf Cooperation Council to attend the consultations, but he apologized for not participating.
The source postponed the reasons for Al-Arada's apology for accepting the invitation of the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, to the military situation in Marib Governorate, noting that the Houthi militia is preparing to resume the attack on the city.
On Tuesday evening, clashes resumed between government forces and tribesmen on the one hand, and the terrorist Houthi militia on the other, on the southern fronts in Marib Governorate.
This comes after the Houthi militia sent military reinforcements, including vehicles and fighters, to the fighting fronts in the governorate, in conjunction with its continued field mobilization for a major battle.
